Product Test and Our Original Quality Standards

AIRQUIN products go through strict product tests executed by third-party testing institutions. The products are also tested for our own quality standards repeatedly, assuming a variety of conditions.

TestDescription
Temperature ⁄ Humidity Cycle Test Test of the durability of the products in the temperature and humidity controlled bath set under the below conditions (1) and (2), assuming a bad environment.
  1. (1) Leave the products for 24 hours in the bath set under the conditions: temperature 10℃ (50°F), humidity 40% ⁄ temperature -20℃ (-4°F), humidity 10%.
  2. (2) Leave the products for 48 hours in the bath set under the conditions: temperature 20℃ (68°F), humidity 60% ⁄ temperature 60℃ (140°F), humidity 85%.
Repeat the cycle of (1) and (2) twice.
Load Test Maintain the product hanging from the ceiling for 1 hour with a weight of 1 kg (2.2 lb.). Add a weight of 1 kg (2.2 lb.) every hour and verify that nothing is wrong with 3 kg (6.6 lb.) of weight in total. Then, leave it for another 24 hours to verify if anything is wrong.
Resistance Test for Heat Sealing Measure the maximum weight that a product can endure when the heat-sealed part ruptures, according to JIS Z 1711.
Resistance Test against Light Apply the light of a 100 W reflection bulb from a distance of 30 cm (12 inches) and from various directions for 24 hours to verify if anything is wrong.
Colorfastness Test Colorfastness JIS L 0842: Verify if there is any change in colors after applying a certain amount of light.
Abrasion resistance JIS L 0849: Verify if there is any color transfer to clothes, etc. as a result of abrasion.
